Fulgurite (Lightning Stone)

The fulgurite which is located on the entry floor of the museum, occurs by the lightning stroke. Fulgurite (lightning stone) has a glassy inner part and a cylindrical outer part, which forms by the melting and re-cooling of the acidic material during lightning stroke. Two Fulgurite samples which are exhibited in the showcase came from Nevşehir in 1999.
